The Hog Hill circuit is quite a technical with most of the corners being tight and also having a berg, descent and a fast drag.
The start was gridded, so I was positioned second row. The first 30-minutes were so cagey with everybody fighting for position and so there was a couple of crashes, although I managed to avoid them. The rest of the race was full-gas with a constant flow of attacks and chases, which made for a really tough race.
I got off the front with 15-mins to go with Finlay Pickering and we got a gap of 15-seconds at the best, but we got pulled back with 4-laps to go. The race finished in a bunch sprint, but I was pretty pooped so rolled over the line in the pack.
All in all I was pretty happy with my race. I rode quite smart, not chasing too much and not committing to one move.
Thanks to my Dad for driving me and the sponsors.
