NWCX round 9 Bodelwyddan

This was the 9th round of the Northwales cyclocross series. The course had roots plenty of sticky mud in the woods, a hurdle which lead us out of the woods into a very short grass section – which was stiff with frost from the cold conditions.

The U14 & U16 raced at the same time as the adults due to time constraints at the venue; aside from this my race went well. I had a terrible start, which was uphill, across a field which lead onto the course and into a bit of a log jam at the first corner. 20 minutes into the race and it seemed I was doing better than I expected as I was passing and lapping other riders, adults.

The course was churning up towards the end and with so many people racing at once I’m unsure of my position but I hope to do better at the next and final round in Pwllheli.
